Description

kWh Analytics, Sandia National Laboratories, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) are partnering for an insightful webinar that delves into the challenges of analyzing unstructured text data from utility-scale solar systems’ operations and maintenance (O&M) logs. Our Department of Energy-funded research has uncovered critical trends in failure-driving equipment and possible resolutions by applying cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) techniques to over 87,000 O&M tickets from more than 900 U.S. solar systems.

The group aims to provide actionable insights for the solar industry, from increasing on-site parts inventory and implementing proactive maintenance protocols to improving data transparency between operators, OEMs, and insurance carriers. Learn about the implications for PV lenders, insurers, manufacturers, O&M providers, and asset owners, and how a “safe driver discount” for responsible developers can be achieved. Our expert panel will discuss the future of this work, including a cost-benefit analysis conducted by NREL and a dive into pvOps by Sandia, as well as answer your questions on how asset owners can prove their commitment to maintaining resilient assets to insurance providers.

This webinar is a component of Apprenticeships in Clean Energy (ACE) Network, an initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. ACE Network offers outreach and educational resources, free technical support, and financial aid to assist clean energy employers, training providers, and other stakeholders in navigating the registered apprenticeship system and establish apprenticeship training programs.
