Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Certification Program
SEIA’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) Certification program is a first-of-its-kind platform that encourages energy companies to implement evidence-based DEIJ best practices within their companies. The program provides resources and guidance as businesses evaluate their current DEIJ progress, and similar to other programs like LEED, users will achieve levels of certification based on the activities they complete.

As the national trade association for America’s solar and storage industry, SEIA has a responsibility to make sure the industry is prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ).
In this yearly report, you’ll gain insights into how businesses are employing the modules offered by the DEIJ Certification Program. Additionally, you’ll discover the advancements SEIA has observed as companies embark on this transformative journey.
About the Certification Program
The program features more than 30 modules of content for companies to explore and earn badges that will lead to certification. All companies must complete the Bronze-level requirements before advancing to modules that qualify a company for Silver, Gold, or Platinum-level certification.
Each certification is valid for one year and comes with a digital badge that companies can use to showcase their achievement. SEIA will promote the achievements of member companies as they make their way through their DEIJ certification journey. This program is part of SEIA’s broader DEIJ efforts and underscores the importance of company-level participation and contributions to the solar and storage industry’s diversity efforts. Our goal is for every SEIA member to participate in the program.
